Such is the alchemy of Taobuk that brings the excellence of literature, the arts and thought to Taormina, a unique place in the world, a crossroads between western and eastern culture.
The Festival, born sixteen years ago, from an intuition of Antonella Ferrara who presides and directs it, embraces the vocation of receiving the “literary sediments” of the city, synthesis of a history that coagulates events, myths, experiences, traditions. Every year, Taobuk chooses a theme around which a calendar of meetings revolve, with the participation of authoritative writers, artists, philosophers and scientists. The kermesse has taken on a multidisciplinary configuration and the programme is embellished with exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, film retrospectives, in evocative locations of which the most representative is the Ancient Theatre, together with palaces, corners and large hotels.

Taking trust as a theme means bringing the invisible fabric that sustains every relationship back to the center: the credibility of science, the responsibility of emerging technologies, the vitality of intellectual dialogue, the value of words in storytelling and art.
It means questioning trust in others, in society, in institutions, in time, and in the future.
Over 200 guests from 30 countries will make Taormina the center of multidisciplinary artistic-literary, historical-philosophical, scientific, political, and economic debate.

The first exhibition dedicated to the theme of the horse in the work of Jean Calogero, an internationally renowned painter from Catania (Sicily) and a central figure in contemporary surrealism.
In the work of Jean Calogero, the horse is never just a subject: it is an obsession, an origin, a mirror. Bellessere è Benessere is the first exhibition in the world to explore this theme in the work of the great surrealist painter from Catania, moving between archaic and mythic Sicily and the avant-garde Paris of the art movements.
At the Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano, the exhibition curated by Tiziana Rasà opens alongside the catalogue published by Maimone Editore, in a dialogue between criticism, publishing, and cultural institutions.
