The Conjuring 2 is a 2016 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan and written by Carey Hayes, Chad Hayes, Wan and David Leslie Johnson. It is the sequel to the 2013 film The Conjuring and stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. In The Conjuring 2, the Warrens travel to the United Kingdom to assist the Hodgson family, who are experiencing poltergeist activity at their Enfield council house in 1977.
The film was released in the United States on June 10, 2016, by Warner Bros. Pictures, receiving generally positive reviews and grossing over $3 million.
Plot
In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to London, England, where single mother Peggy Hodgson believes that something evil is in her home. When Peggy’s youngest daughter starts showing signs of demonic possession, Ed and Lorraine attempt to help the besieged girl, only to find themselves targeted by the malicious spirits.
