Planetaria is the most interesting performance project of recent years. It’s not just a show that focuses on content, education, science, and spectacularity, but it’s a community and a brand that unites great actors, scientists, and communicators in a year-round system of meetings, major events, and projects.
We explain how the planet is changing, what needs we face, and how these accelerations are changing us and the world. A show – written specifically for the Taormina Festival – with an immersive and technological approach.
Sandro, played by Edoardo Leo, spends a memorable night of love in Taormina with the intriguing Blu, a young Sicilian woman who disappears the next day without a trace.
All searches are in vain. But upon returning home, Sandro receives a mysterious envelope with a musical clue signed by Blu, the first of many. Thus begins an exciting long-distance challenge. To track down the woman, Sandro must decipher a playlist of ancient songs he has received. The songs suggested by Blu correspond to key moments in the history of the Mediterranean.
The journey ends a year later, on September 17, 2026, at the Ancient Theater of Taormina, where the final stop on the playlist is a live concert in front of an audience: Sandro finally reunites with Blu on stage.
At the end of the show, the audience will interact with the protagonists on stage.
